Liverpool born artist, Mark Willcox, is currently using photography extensively as a medium.  His inspiration is rooted in personal experience from which he produces complex, multi-layered semi-abstract artworks.  These convey a novel and expressive  approach to commonplace activities or significant events from which he captures visual distortions and spatial disorientations that arise from speed and movement in urban contexts.

He became sight-impaired in an accident at the age of 18, which causes him to perceive the world in an unusual way and informs the creative direction inherent in his art.  His work hangs in public, private and corporate collections in the United Kingdom and Europe.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers and an Affiliate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
