Liverpool born artist, Mark Willcox, draws his inspiration from personal experience, creating complex, multi-layered semi-abstract artworks that convey an expressive response to the spatial disorientations that can arise from speed and movement in urban contexts.
He became sight-impaired in an accident at the age of 18, which causes him to perceive the world in an unusual way and informs the creative direction inherent in his art. His work hangs in public, private and corporate collections in the UK, Europe and Asia.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers and an Affiliate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
Mark Willcox undertakes private commissions and can be contacted on the link above. |
